Saba is a recent ISU graduate with a bachelor’s degree in Human Development and Family Studies and a minor in Women’s and Gender Studies. She has worked with children in various capacities for about 6 years, including those with physical and developmental disabilities, those with ASD, and those with intellectual disabilities. Her favorite part of working with children with disabilities is the “aha” moments when something clicks for the first time, and they step closer to gaining further independence in a given area. She believes that with the right support, people are capable of reaching their goals. Saba loves giving enthusiastic praise, celebrating the little wins, and making things fun. She plans to eventually attend graduate school for counseling and use her diverse experiences to serve a variety of populations in her future practice. She is passionate about trauma-informed care, client-led care, and embracing diverse perspectives and experiences. Outside of work, she enjoys reading, writing creatively, watching TV shows, enjoying nature, and spending time with her cat, Bee Bee.
