Ana has always been passionate about helping others help themselves. She holds an associate’s degree in social work from Northeast Community College. She has worked with children of all ages through different educational entities, providing services to migrant students through the Title 1C Migrant Education Program, translating and interpreting for an Educational Service Unit (ESU), and working with English language learners in her hometown’s public school. While working with children of different ages and backgrounds, Ana began to see an increase in the need for professional knowledge for working with children on the autism spectrum, eventually leading her to pursue training in ABA therapy. Now, she is excited to learn more about how to help a unique group of children help themselves. Ana is also an advocate for mental health and mindfulness practices, having taken courses to help herself and her students. In her free time she enjoys cooking, eating, spending time with family, and connecting with nature.
